National Disability Insurance Agency - Customer Case Study

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), formed in 2013 to implement Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme, needed expert support to shape the culture, learning, and leadership capabilities for a huge cross-jurisdictional reform. NDIA turned to DeakinCo. for help with a national training needs analysis, competency and development frameworks, and a culturally unifying orientation program for 19 new senior leaders.

DeakinCo. delivered all three projects, drawing on its learning and development expertise, disability-sector experience, and access to Deakin University resources. The training needs analysis identified development needs across corporate, technical, customer-facing, and support roles, while the competency and development frameworks defined leadership capabilities and learning pathways; the orientation program was later withdrawn, but the designed content received very positive feedback.
