The Department of Human Services (DHS) needed to manage major cultural change after several agencies merged and sought help reviewing management training needs across its divisions. DHS engaged DeakinCo. to assess leadership development requirements and recommend strategies, including a pilot training program for its General Practitioners (GP) Division.
DeakinCo. developed the GP Division’s Leadership and Management Program, a two-day workshop covering vision and strategy, leadership, corporate governance, organisational development, and people management. Delivered nationwide to more than 600 participants, the program was evaluated immediately and again later for workplace application, with results showing stronger awareness of governance, leadership, strategic issues, and team and negotiation skills.
