Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations - Customer Case Study

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (formerly DEETYA) needed to train more than 7,000 staff on new employment service changes, basic commercial business skills, and culture change, all with a limited budget. DeakinCo. was engaged to develop flexible training content and delivery materials to meet this urgent large-scale need.

DeakinCo. created paper-based modules for workshop and distance delivery, including exercises, role plays, simulations, case studies, and supporting resources across five modules: Culture Change, Leadership, Customer Focus, Financial Awareness and Accountability, and Business Planning and Analysis. The solution enabled one content set to support three qualification levels—internal accreditation, recognition of prior learning, and credit transfer to university programs—helping boost uptake while staying within budget.
