A DeakinCo. Case Study

Preview of the Coles Myer Case Study

Coles Myer - Customer Case Study

Coles Myer, one of Australia’s largest retail groups with 13 brands and around 2,000 sites across Australasia, needed a more consistent way to train staff, build capability, and support retention, productivity, and change across the business. After an initial successful partnership in 1999, it re-engaged DeakinCo. in late 2002 to extend the model across the whole organisation through The Coles Myer Institute (CMI).

DeakinCo. created a virtual, end-to-end learning “campus” that combined vocational education and university pathways, spanning induction through to postgraduate degrees, while aligning with Coles Myer’s culture and competencies. The result was an award-winning corporate university model recognized globally, with programs in high demand and measurable business benefits, including improved staff development and strong support for career progression.
