The City of Melbourne faced growing performance pressures as Victoria’s councils were pushed to operate more businesslike, while the city remained under intense public scrutiny as one of the world’s most liveable cities. To help its staff respond effectively, the City of Melbourne partnered with DeakinCo. for Corporate Learning and Development (CLAD) support.
DeakinCo. and its DeakinPrime team designed, developed, and managed CLAD programs for the City of Melbourne, including leadership workshops, executive coaching, and education pathways through a Diploma of Business and an MBA. The partnership helped the city equip staff with timely skills to manage rapid growth and change, contributing to strong outcomes such as successfully hosting the 2006 Commonwealth Games and maintaining Melbourne’s top global city status.
