Alcoa Australian Rolled Products (AARP), Australia’s largest aluminium sector operator, faced the difficult challenge of closing its Australian operations and supporting leaders who were facing redundancy. DeakinCo. was brought in to help recognise their experience and provide a pathway to new opportunities, using a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process and related development support.

DeakinCo. delivered an integrated solution that assessed enterprise-wide training, conducted interviews and assessment exercises, and awarded many participants a Deakin University Diploma of Management. The company also ran training days to build practical post-employment skills, leaving AARP leaders better qualified and more prepared to transition into future roles. Feedback from across AARP was overwhelmingly positive.
