Richard Dawes Fine Wine is a London-based wholesale distributor founded in 2008, specialising in fine wines for trade and private collectors and storing client reserves at Vinotheque (LCB). The company needed better systems to manage complex en primeur sales—where wine is sold before bottling—and lacked online sales capability, as their existing website was purely informational. They also wanted improved CRM, reporting and financial visibility without expanding accounting headcount.
De Facto implemented a complete solution: an ERP with Distribution & Manufacturing for en primeur workflows, CRM and Business Intelligence, plus a redesigned e-commerce site. The ERP tracks customer-owned stock post-invoicing for full visibility until delivery, streamlines accounting and makes financial data widely available, while the new online sales portal turned missed opportunities into a sophisticated global sales channel.
