Wroclaw Centre for Networking and Supercomputing (WCSS), one of Poland’s national supercomputing centers, needed to support more than 3,000 researchers handling increasingly large, data-intensive scientific workloads. To meet growing storage and performance demands, WCSS turned to DDN and its high-performance EXAScaler and SFA12K storage platforms.

DDN implemented an end-to-end Lustre-based storage solution that delivered high density, scalable capacity, and faster parallel file access for mixed HPC workloads. As a result, WCSS reported six times greater storage capacity in the same rack space, quadrupled file-sharing speed for research data, and reduced computation time for complex simulations and scientific models.
