Deluxe Creative Services - Customer Case Study

Deluxe Creative Services, part of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, needed a better way to manage massive, fast-growing post-production data across a global footprint. Its legacy tape-based archive and traditional storage options could not provide the speed, flexibility, or scale required for high-resolution film workflows, remote collaboration, and fast turnaround. DDN helped address these challenges with its WOS object storage platform and an active archiving approach.

DDN implemented an integrated solution using WOS object storage plus ASG-Digital Archiving (ADA), deployed with eight WOS nodes and an ADA archiving platform powered by four data movers. The result was a scalable, cost-effective archive that improved data movement, enabled selective global replication, and reduced pressure on expensive SAN storage. Deluxe reported faster workflows, easier content retrieval, and throughput on the WOS platform rivaling tier-one SAN performance at a much lower total cost of ownership.
