Anyang City Hall needed to build a citywide intelligent video surveillance system to help reduce street crime, ease traffic congestion, and improve disaster response, but it required storage that could handle hundreds of high-definition camera streams with extreme speed, scale, reliability, and low cost. DDN was selected to support the initiative with a high-performance storage solution for the city’s Integrated Operations Briefing room and surveillance infrastructure.

DDN implemented half a petabyte of high-density storage that delivered up to 6GB/second throughput, strong data protection, and the ability to scale in a very small footprint. The results included a centralized emergency-services infrastructure, investigation of 1,867 video streams, resolution of 83 crimes, faster response to traffic incidents, and expansion to 1,300 cameras in two years with capacity and cost efficiency for future growth.
