GAK, the UK’s leading retailer of musical instruments, needed to modernize its aging website and back-office systems to better support growing online sales, mobile shopping, richer product content, and payment options like PayPal and finance. Its previous platform was inflexible, not mobile-friendly, and expensive to extend, limiting GAK’s ability to improve the customer experience and expand internationally.

DCSL Software Ltd built a new end-to-end retail system using ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure, with a responsive front end, integrated PayPal and finance features, and enhanced image/video support. The new platform was highly scalable and secure, and GAK saw a 10% revenue increase in the first quarter after launch, plus stronger overseas sales and full ownership of the code for future flexibility.
