YESSS Electrical, the UK's fastest-growing electrical wholesaler, needed a disaster recovery solution for its mission-critical Oracle database. Their challenge was to ensure their central management system remained available 24/7 and to prevent performance impacts from mobile application users, all while retaining their existing Oracle Standard Edition infrastructure. The solution implemented was Dbvisit Standby, which created a physically replicated, geographically dispersed standby database. This provided YESSS with a resilient disaster recovery setup that was quick to install using online training. The results were highly successful: Dbvisit achieved a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 15 minutes with minimal data loss, ensuring the central management system remains protected and available.
