Superdeporte deploys large scale DR for 150+ databases

Superdeporte, the largest sports retailer in Ecuador with over 150 stores, required a disaster-resilient solution for its new point of sale system. Their challenge was to ensure that each individual store could recover its sales data following any disaster. The company, along with their IT provider Renovation IT, turned to vendor Dbvisit for a solution.

Dbvisit implemented its StandbyMP software at each retail store to maintain an exact local copy of the sales database and a second central copy for added resilience. The Dbvisit solution provided continuous verification of the standby databases for reliable failover and enabled the central configuration, monitoring, and management of all 150+ database instances. This implementation successfully replicated over 6,500 daily transactions, delivering a robust and complete disaster recovery solution to Superdeporte.
