City Pharmacy achieves 10 minute RPO with Standby

City Pharmacy Co., a major distributor of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in the UAE, faced a critical challenge with its disaster recovery for its Oracle Standard Edition database. Their previous solution had an unacceptable recovery point objective (RPO) of 24 hours and a highly manual recovery time objective (RTO) of 24 hours, putting their operations at significant risk. They needed a new solution that could minimize data loss and downtime while preferably remaining on their existing Oracle platform.
