Andela, a company building a talent matching service, needed to dramatically speed up the development of its product roadmap. The challenge was to move faster towards an automated, machine learning-powered service while still empowering their internal staffing team with accurate data.

dbt Labs provided the solution by enabling Andela to model their data using dbt. This allowed their data team to build a functional prototype of the search interface in Looker in just three months. The approach shaved an estimated five months off the product development timeline, allowing for valuable early user feedback and establishing a new, iterative standard for building data products at Andela.
