Case Study: ING Bank Turkey achieves faster, more reliable releases with DBmaestro

A DBmaestro Case Study

Preview of the ING Bank Turkey Case Study

ING Bank Turkey - DevOps Leads Dramatic Development Turnaround

ING Bank Turkey is a large in-house developer of core banking software using nearly 150 database schemas and dozens of developers working in PL/SQL. Lacking database source control and standardized release automation, ING faced production downtime, developers overwriting or losing changes, unclear versioning, last-minute scripted releases, and frequent mismatches between UAT and production.

ING implemented DBmaestro (Nov 2017) to enforce source control, automate builds and releases, support cherry‑picking and team workflows, and integrate with Jenkins and TFS. By January 2018 they had a production release and rapidly onboarded projects; today ~100 developers use source control, only two DevOps staff manage operations, half-day manual tasks now take minutes, downtime and rework have dropped, and regulatory compliance (SOX) and release visibility have markedly improved.
