Google wanted to understand whether activating Google SWIS inventory feeds could improve visibility in Google Maps and local search for brick-and-mortar locations. The challenge was to determine if uploading in-store product inventory would help locations rank better for relevant product keywords in their service areas.

DbaPlatform used Local Falcon rank tracking to run before-and-after Google Maps scans for multiple locations and product keywords. The results showed dramatic gains within 24 hours of SWIS activation: Backcountry & Beyond improved from an average rank position of 14.8 to 1, Gear for Adventure moved from 20+ to 1.93, and Pine Needle Mountaineering went from 20+ to 1.98, demonstrating that DbaPlatform’s SWIS integration could significantly boost local search visibility.
