Daymark Solutions implemented a best-practices framework for unified visibility, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting, while actively managing FairPoint’s EMC NetWorker and Data Domain backup environment across three locations. The result was consistent daily backup success rates of 98% or higher, nearly 100% backup success overall, improved recoverability, optimized storage utilization, identification of duplicate backup data, and a six-month delay of a costly hardware upgrade, freeing IT staff for more strategic work.
