The Denver Broncos, a Denver-based NFL franchise with a workforce that swells to about 1,500 during season, needed to modernize HR and payroll after relying on three disconnected legacy systems. Manual payroll processing for players (with multi-state tax complexities), ACA compliance failures, and time-consuming seasonal hiring and scheduling via spreadsheets and email were creating errors, redundancies, and heavy administrative burdens.
