The City of Columbus, Ohio needed to replace decades-old HR, payroll, time and attendance, and benefits systems that relied on manual processes, paper reports, and multiple disconnected platforms. As one of the largest U.S. cities with about 10,000 employees, the city turned to Dayforce HCM to reduce operational risk, improve compliance, and give employees modern self-service tools.
Dayforce implemented an enterprise-wide system for payroll, benefits, and workforce management, consolidating the city into one platform and integrating with other systems through web APIs. The results included less than 1% error rate in the first pay cycle, payroll processing time reduced by 2 to 3 days per pay period, pay corrections cut from two weeks to two days, and about 5,000 employee logins each week through the web and mobile app.
