Spirit AeroSystems, the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of aerostructures with 18,000 employees across the U.S., France, Scotland and Malaysia, faced growing payroll complexity from union contracts, more than 380 wage types and three disparate international payroll systems. The lack of a single global view put the company at compliance and business-risk and made timely answers to payroll queries difficult.
In 2017 Spirit partnered with Ceridian Dayforce and moved international and later domestic payroll onto a single Dayforce Managed system. The change delivered real‑time visibility, mobile access to pay statements, faster reporting (same‑day answers) and stronger compliance, freeing HR and payroll teams to focus on strategic growth while ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
