Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI), a 75‑year‑old health insurer, needed a more efficient way to notify stakeholders of employee status changes (terminations, department moves, etc.). The existing process required manual updates across multiple platforms, increasing steps, duplication and compliance risk as the company migrated away from an outdated system and sought a single system of record.
BCBSRI implemented Dayforce with a custom form and workflow that managers or HR can initiate; the form commits changes directly to the database, reducing manual entry and error. The solution cut paper waste, consolidated multiple systems into one source of record, formalized the status‑change process, eliminated five risks and downgraded one high risk to low while ensuring stakeholders receive only the required information.
