Hibbett Sports, a 774-location specialty retailer, struggled with manual, spreadsheet-driven workforce planning that produced siloed, stale data, slow monthly budgeting and incentive calculations, and limited visibility for district managers — all made harder by a dial-up infrastructure and a store format that standard WFM tools didn’t fit. Senior VP Cathy Pryor needed a user-friendly, integrated solution to automate period planning, accurately track incentives, and give managers timely KPIs.
Hibbett implemented Dayforce’s SaaS Workforce Performance Management (period planning and incentive pay) in phases, integrating with payroll and adding KPI dashboards to automate forecasts, approvals, and incentive payouts. The change cut the monthly labor and budgeting cycle from one week to two days and shortened incentive payout time from about a week to two days, with further efficiencies expected when time-and-attendance and analytics are fully rolled out.
