Life Events Messaging Helps Holland Hospital Drive Eap Engagement

Holland Hospital, a 2,000-employee health system in Holland, Michigan, prioritizes employee health as part of its mission to improve community well‑being. The organization struggled to raise awareness of its employee assistance and work‑life program across a diverse workforce, multiple shifts and locations, and especially among new hires who found benefits information overwhelming—limiting recruiting, retention and engagement efforts.

To address this, Holland Hospital implemented the LifeWorks Life Events Messaging Engine to deliver targeted, automated and confidential resources timed to employees’ life events (for example, adding a dependent or becoming a manager). The solution aims to boost EAP participation and usage, foster healthier, more productive employees, and strengthen recruiting and retention by ensuring the right support is available when people need it.
