B&H Photo and Video, a New York–based retailer and distributor with about 1,800 employees, faced complex payroll and scheduling challenges: two EINs, a mix of exempt and hourly staff who still punch in, different store and warehouse schedules (including Sunday openings), 30+ time clocks, and limited manager access to the old time system. These complexities made accurate scheduling, reporting and weekly payroll reconciliation difficult and time-consuming.
B&H implemented Ceridian Dayforce HCM in an out-of-the-box rollout completed in about eight weeks, converting all employees at once with close Ceridian support and some custom reports. The integrated system eliminated double-entry, gave managers direct reporting and scheduling tools, improved timekeeping and scheduling accuracy, and freed managers and HR to focus on people and operations—delivering measurable efficiency gains and a smooth, successful go-live.
