Town of Plainfield, IN manages 570 trees and 50 removals with Davey

The Town of Plainfield, IN worked with Davey Resource Group (DRG), a division of Davey Tree, to implement its urban forest management plan. The challenge was to execute a comprehensive plan covering tree risk assessment, maintenance, planting, and community forestry programs in a systematic and effective manner.

Davey Resource Group provided a full suite of implementation services. These included conducting tree risk assessments on the entire public inventory, scheduling and specifying the removal of about 50 trees and the pruning of up to 570 trees, and inspecting approximately 50 potential planting sites. DRG also provided quality control for contractor work, performed maintenance on hundreds of young trees, and assisted the town with Arbor Day planning and activities aimed at achieving Tree City USA designation. This partnership ensured the structured management and enhancement of Plainfield's urban forest.
