The Audubon Society of Ohio achieves 85% invasive species control with Davey

The Audubon Society of Ohio needed to eradicate invasive Japanese stiltgrass within the sensitive ecosystem of the Warder Perkins State Nature Preserve, which also contained endangered species. They contracted Davey Resource Group (Davey) to perform invasive species control and to construct a primitive access trail to the site.

Davey's team of trained biologist-applicators used a careful, targeted approach with the grass-specific herbicide Poast®, applied via backpack and powered sprayers. The solution achieved the project goal of 85% control of the target invasive species in the high-density treatment areas, advancing the customer's restoration objectives for the protected nature preserve.
