Preview of the Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative Case Study

Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative maps 11 million feet of lines in 6 months with Davey

Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative (TVEC) sought to provide high-quality fiber internet to its members in Hardin County, Tennessee. To begin this fiber-to-the-home project, TVEC required a complete inventory of its existing utility system. They engaged Davey Resource Group (DRG) to handle this critical data collection challenge.

Davey Resource Group deployed a field team using ArcGIS FieldMaps software to locate all poles and over 11 million feet of lines, mapping both underground and above-ground infrastructure. Davey completed this extensive inventory in approximately six months, delivering the vital data needed to design the fiber installation route. This work provided TVEC with the foundational information to move forward with its project, which aims to deliver high-speed broadband to meet modern demands for its community.
