Riverton Residential Development streamlines permitting with Davey for 26a, ARAP and Brownfield filings

Davey Resource Group, a division of Davey Tree, provided environmental permitting services to Riverton Residential Development for a master-planned residential project in Chattanooga, TN. The challenge was to develop a formerly contaminated site near the Tennessee River, which required navigating complex permits related to wetlands, streams, and protected species with multiple state and federal agencies.

The solution involved Davey conducting stream and wetland determinations, environmental assessments, and agency consultations. They prepared and managed permit applications for the TDEC, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Tennessee Valley Authority, including the use of a Stream Quantification Tool to determine mitigation needs. Davey's work successfully guided the permitting process, allowing the client's vision for transforming the brownfield site into a residential development to move forward while ensuring proper management of aquatic and cultural resources.
