PG&E speeds cage clearing across 15,000 work requests with Davey

Davey Resource Group, a Davey company, provided support to Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) to help manage a substantial backlog of vegetation clearing work requests under its Wildfire Safety Inspection Program. The high volume of approximately 15,000 requests in one planner group, necessary for maintaining clearance around transmission structures to reduce wildfire risk, required extra assistance.

The solution involved Davey implementing a comprehensive work process, including back-office research, field inspections using GIS technology, and vegetation consultation to prescribe management work. Davey’s Rapid Response Team also contributed to the effort. As a result, PG&E, with Davey's partnership, was able to keep the program on track and planned to filter and complete all work requests on schedule.
