New York Power Authority improves ESG reporting with Davey after 20 years of carbon footprint decline

Davey Resource Group (DRG), a part of Davey Tree, partnered with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to address a growing industry challenge. NYPA needed to innovatively quantify and report on the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts of its utility right-of-way land management to meet stakeholder expectations.

The solution involved Davey developing a pilot project and custom software tools. DRG created an automated ESG reporting mechanism within its proprietary ResourceKeeper system to translate vegetation management data into positive ESG indicators, such as biodiversity and carbon footprint trends. This partnership provided NYPA with the necessary procedures and visualization tools to analyze and report on its sustainability performance.
