National Grid restores power for 2 million customers in 2 weeks with Davey

After Hurricane Isaias caused severe damage and left around 2 million customers of National Grid and other utilities without power, Davey was called upon. The challenge was to clear dangerous storm debris and fallen trees to make way for line repair crews and restore electrical service across multiple states.

Davey's Eastern Utility division mobilized over 500 employees across 203 line clearance crews, drawing resources from multiple states to perform this high-risk work safely and efficiently. After approximately two weeks of around-the-clock effort, Davey successfully cleared all storm debris, enabling the final restoration of power and allowing customers in the New England area to return to normal life.
