MidAmerican Electric Company faced a challenge completing a critical substation bare ground herbicide application program due to record high wind speeds, which drastically reduced the available time for safe spraying. They engaged Davey Resource Group to handle the application.

Davey Resource Group deployed local crews and a variety of specialized equipment, including UTV spray rings and boom sprayers, to efficiently cover 1,000 acres despite high winds. They utilized their in-house ResourceKeeper software for custom tracking. As a result, Davey completed the project within the constrained timeframe, allowing MidAmerican Electric to finish its annual herbicide application and maintain their eight-year partnership.
