Maplewood Community Center/YMCA upgrades its front entrance in 2019 with Davey

The Maplewood Community Center/YMCA in Minnesota needed to address a deteriorating front entry and improve stormwater management at their site. They engaged Davey Resource Group (DRG) of Davey Tree to redesign and install a new, functional public entrance.

Davey implemented a solution that included an ADA-compliant ramp, a gathering space, and a specialized Silva Cell tree trench system for underground stormwater control. The result was an enhanced, accessible entry that encourages public use while effectively managing runoff and supporting healthy tree growth, successfully mixing aesthetics with function.
