Love’s Travel Stop delineates 32-acre site with Davey

Davey Resource Group, a division of Davey Tree, was contracted by Bohler Engineering to support a project for Love’s Travel Stop. The customer needed to develop a new travel stop in Pamelia, New York, but the project was stalled due to the presence of two intermittent streams crossing the site, which posed a significant environmental and engineering challenge for construction.

The solution involved Davey Resource Group delineating over 32 acres of shrubland to assess wetland boundaries. When initial conditions required a re-delineation, their team exceeded expectations, which led to a regulatory shift identifying a larger wetland area. This allowed Bohler Engineering to create a design that responsibly addressed the stream issue with minimal environmental impact, ultimately enabling the Love’s Travel Stop construction project to move forward.
