Kinetic by Windstream completes fiber rollout in 2.5 months with Davey

Kinetic by Windstream needed to upgrade its customers in Hudson, Ohio to a fiber optic network. The challenge involved both installing the new overhead fiber lines and performing necessary vegetation management, which the local municipality required to be supervised by an ISA-certified arborist. The utility turned to its established vendor, Davey, specifically the Davey Resource Group (DRG), to provide a combined solution.

Davey served as a one-stop shop, with an ISA-certified arborist overseeing tree clearing crews to create a safe path for construction. Following this, DRG's own line construction crews installed the overhead fiber optic lines. The project was completed efficiently in about two and a half months, successfully meeting customer demand on time. Based on this performance, Davey was also engaged for the project's next phase to install underground fiber lines.
