Indiana Department of Natural Resources reduces woody invasive cover by 95% with Davey

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources needed to address extensive woody invasive vegetation at Lawrence Creek Nature Preserve, which was threatening biodiversity and wildlife habitat. They contracted Davey Resource Group, a division of Davey Tree, for invasive species management and control services.

Davey Resource Group implemented a removal plan using forestry mowers, chainsaws, and targeted herbicide applications, exceeding expectations by also treating newly germinating invasive species. As a result, Davey achieved a 95% reduction in woody invasive cover, significantly supporting the project's goals of increased biodiversity and improved habitat, and also repaired the site's access trail.
