Hoosier Energy updates 97,509 poles after Hurricane Laura with Davey

The customer, a Southeast U.S. utility, faced significant inaccuracies in its GIS equipment inventory after its transmission and distribution systems were severely damaged by Hurricane Laura. The utility engaged Davey to address this challenge.

Davey Resource Group implemented a solution by quickly mobilizing a team of 20 GIS technicians to perform a comprehensive post-storm walkthrough. They collected data on over 97,000 poles and nearly 100 feeders. As a result, Davey identified and reported 2,600 safety concerns to the utility, providing them with the latest equipment information to efficiently complete repairs.
