Hoosier Energy completes utility inspections in a few weeks with Davey

Davey Resource Group (DRG) helped a Midwestern electric utility, Hoosier Energy, address the urgent challenge of ensuring electrical reliability during the COVID-19 pandemic. The utility needed immediate inspection of its highest-priority circuits to enable critical maintenance, as increased dependence on home power and the need to support community hospitals made system reliability more important than ever.

DRG assembled a team of forestry consultants and arborists who used their customized Rover field software to rapidly complete inspections within a few weeks. They implemented safe customer outreach practices, including proprietary software for permission emails, to maintain social distance and keep the project on schedule. As a result, DRG successfully issued work to contractors and shifted focus to inspecting hospital feeder circuits, directly improving reliability for critical community infrastructure during the crisis.
