City of South San Francisco completes urban forest master plan in 2020 with Davey

The City of South San Francisco sought to create a citywide strategy to develop and enhance its urban forest of parks, neighborhood, and street trees. To address this challenge, the city engaged Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) following a competitive proposal process, commissioning an Urban Forest Master Plan.

Davey developed the comprehensive master plan, which established clear goals, policies, and objectives for sustainability, species diversity, and increased canopy cover. Completed in 2020, the plan provides South San Francisco with a guiding tool for immediate and long-term tree care and reforestation, directing the improvement of its urban canopy.
