Brooklyn Botanic Garden inventories 3,720 trees with Davey

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden sought to enhance its forestry management practices and conserve its public tree collection. To support this vision, they hired Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) to perform a comprehensive tree inventory and develop a management plan.

Davey Resource Group implemented a GIS-based inventory of the garden's 3,720 trees across 52 acres, carefully identifying its diverse collection of 691 unique species and cultivars. The resulting community forest management plan from Davey quantified the benefits provided by the trees and addressed their maintenance needs, helping the Brooklyn Botanic Garden promote community well-being through improved conservation.
