Arcadis certifies more TRAQ arborists in months with Davey

Arcadis, an engineering and management consulting company, faced a challenge while leading a California state project to identify hazard trees after the Camp Fire. The project required Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) certified arborists, but the number of certified professionals was severely limited because the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) had canceled classes due to Covid-19.

Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) worked with the ISA to set up private, socially distanced TRAQ certification classes to bolster the workforce. DRG arborists then worked on the Arcadis contract, successfully marking burned hazard trees. The solution from Davey improved safety for California residents in the program by preventing tree failure at no cost to them.
