American Electric Power secures wetland permits with Davey on a 20-acre mitigation site

American Electric Power (AEP) faced a challenge requiring compensatory wetland mitigation for two electricity line construction projects within the same watershed in order to secure and maintain permits. Davey Resource Group, a service of Davey, was engaged to address this environmental planning and compliance need.

Davey located potential sites and developed two wetland mitigation plans for a single, approximately 20-acre site. They secured regulatory approvals and managed construction to convert a former agricultural field into native wetland and upland habitats. As a result, AEP successfully obtained the necessary US Army Corps of Engineers and state permits, keeping their line construction on track while ensuring long-term compliance.
