A Datylon Case Study
The City of Antwerp faced challenges monitoring the growing number of free-floating shared mobility services, such as electric scooters and bikes, to ensure they complied with regulations and did not overcrowd public spaces. The city needed a way to gain clear insights into vehicle usage and placement to enforce its mobility policies effectively. To address this, they partnered with vendor Datylon.
Datylon developed the Multi-Modal Mobility Manager (M4) platform, which uses APIs to collect standardized data from mobility providers and present it in an intuitive dashboard. This solution gave city regulators a structured overview to monitor vehicle volumes, locations, and provider compliance. As a result, the City of Antwerp gained the control needed to support these services while managing public space and driving changes in transportation behavior.
