Johnson Level, a manufacturer of measuring tools, struggled with frequent accidental file deletions and an outdated tape-based backup process that made recovery slow, limited, and unreliable. With growing concerns about off-site storage and protecting legacy and modern IT assets, the company needed a more modern, affordable backup and disaster recovery option from Datto.

Datto, working through Invenio IT, implemented the Datto SIRIS 2 backup and BDR solution to replace Tape/RDX with BackupExec. The result was faster file recovery in minutes, hourly cloud backups, and greater confidence in disaster recovery, including restoration to new hardware or virtualization in the cloud. Johnson Level also said Datto delivered capabilities comparable to far more expensive solutions, but at a fraction of the cost.
