Teknologize Inc., a Datto partner in Washington, was hired to provide reliable WiFi for a three-building government researcher housing facility in Richland, WA housing about 300 residents. The site presented challenges: heavy streaming traffic, old brick construction that degrades signals, and a customer requirement to avoid running new cabling.

Teknologize deployed more than 30 Datto AP60 access points—hardwired gateways every 20–30 feet plus additional AP60s as mesh repeaters—plus a Datto E24 switch, using Ekahau HeatMapper to optimize placement and limit repeaters to a single hop. The self-organizing, encrypted mesh with automatic roaming delivered full interior coverage (and 2.4 GHz courtyard access) without new cabling, enabled a captive-portal login, met performance needs, and generated follow-on business opportunities for similar hospitality and SMB installations.
