Klos Consulting, a managed IT provider serving Florida’s construction industry, helped longtime client PSI Roofing prepare for Hurricane Irma. Although PSI had power via generator the day after the storm, their Internet service was down—threatening their ability to receive storm-related work orders and risking an estimated $250,000 in lost business.
Klos deployed a Datto Networking Appliance (router/Wi‑Fi with 4G LTE failover) provided by Datto’s Disaster Response team and had PSI back online in about 15 minutes. With Internet restored, PSI handled a surge of requests—about 200 work orders in two days versus a typical 10—captured the revenue they expected, and used the appliance through the repair period to avoid intermittent downtime.
