Teknologize Inc., a Datto partner, deployed more than 30 Datto AP60 access points to provide WiFi for a three‑building housing facility in Richland, WA that houses about 300 researchers and students. The site posed challenges: heavy streaming demand, older brick construction that degrades signals, and a customer unwilling to run new cabling.

Teknologize used existing fiber to place hardwired AP60 gateways every 20–30 feet and added AP60 repeaters to form a self‑healing, encrypted mesh (plus a Datto E24 switch), planning placement with Ekahau HeatMapper and limiting repeaters to a single hop. The result was reliable, campus‑wide WiFi (including 2.4 GHz courtyard coverage), a captive portal for terms of use, no new cabling or wall work, and easy management via the Datto Partner Portal — prompting follow‑on sales opportunities.
