Prosource, a leading managed service provider in the Midwest, partners with Open Mesh and Datto to deliver backup, disaster recovery and networking solutions for small businesses. When the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association’s biannual events in Friendship, Indiana—drawing thousands of attendees and hundreds of vendors—suffered from unreliable, congested WiFi, Prosource needed a scalable way to provide fast, fair access and create a managed networking revenue stream.

Prosource installed five Open Mesh MR-1750 access points on telephone poles and enabled bandwidth throttling to prevent any single user from monopolizing the connection, immediately improving performance and earning praise from attendees and vendors. They plan to migrate the deployment to Datto Networking, add AP60s and boost upstream capacity, delivering state-of-the-art, managed WiFi that increases visitor satisfaction and creates recurring revenue opportunities.
