OC Tech Dr., a small MSP led by Mike Gelerter, partnered with CovidClinic in 2020 to provide networks for temporary, high‑volume COVID‑19 testing sites. The challenge was extreme: metal‑walled pods with no wired internet or reliable power, unpredictable explosive growth, and the need to deliver test results quickly and securely without network interruptions.

Gelerter deployed cloud‑managed Datto DNA routers paired with cellular modems (primary AT&T, failover Verizon), enabling secure connectivity, automatic failover, and remote administration. The setup allowed rapid scaling to dozens of sites across multiple states, kept registration and result reporting online for hundreds of daily tests, and minimized downtime—backed by fast Datto support and tools that also enabled quick recoveries when other systems failed.
